Many of us have been told how important whole grains are to our diet, but do you know why they are so beneficial? In this 2-part Sound Bites podcast, two PepsiCo nutritionists – Heather Nelson Cortes, who holds a PhD in Nutritional Biochemistry, and Michelle Slimko, a registered dietitian and doctoral candidate in Public Health – discuss whole grains including insights into:
- What constitutes a whole grain and how to identify whole grains while shopping
- The difference between high fiber products and those that contain whole grains
- Tips on how to include whole grains in your daily diet
Thanks to Heather and Michelle for their insights on whole grains. Please be sure to return the Food Frontiers blog on the Health and Wellness section of PepsiCo.com for other updates, information and podcasts in the future – and please leave us comments and feedback! Thanks again.
